The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is sponsoring 10, two-day, application-focused trainings that provide physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with an in-depth look at the theoretical foundations of the Criteria, including clinically driven services, biopsychosocial assessment, the six dimensions, continued stay and transfer/discharge criteria. Incorporating the use of the new edition of The ASAM Criteria , participants have opportunities for skill practice at every stage of the treatment process: assessment, engagement, treatment planning, continuing care and transfer or discharge. Trainings are hosted by Train for Change, Inc.
All participants receive a FREE copy of The ASAM Criteria and an in-depth Training Journal to guide the training experience and as a resource for continuing skill application, as part of the training.
This opportunity is free of charge and offers 13 CME/CEU credits.
Due to limited space, physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants will be prioritized for this opportunity. Should space permit, other disciplines that provide (or supervise staff that provide) direct clinical services to individuals with a substance use disorder may attend.
OhioMHAS is offering two free traiing modules on the ASAM criteria. Five FREE CMEs/CEUs are provided for each module. Please contact email@example.com to receive the unique code to access the training opportunity.
